While the rest of the crew embarked on the journey, Reba stayed behind at the hotel with her husband, Narvel Blackstock, and her stylist, as she was feeling unwell. This decision, though seemingly minor at the time, ended up saving her life.
Among those who perished were Paula Kaye Evans, Terry Jackson, Chris Austin, Joey Cigainero, Jim Hammon, and the tour manager. Each individual was an integral part of McEntire’s tour, and their loss was deeply felt by all who knew them.

Then I persisted, ‘But you’re not sure?’ He said gently, ‘I don’t think so.’”
